Driven by rise in Ice Futures at the New York Stock Exchange, Brazilian cotton prices continued to increase in late September. Cotton prices also grew on expectations of low cotton availability until the beginning of harvesting of the new crop. Besides, cotton buyers too expressed higher interest in purchasing, while sellers remained firm in asking prices. ICE Cotton fell for a third straight session on Friday as waning fears of crop damage due to Hurricane Matthew pressured speculators to continue selling their positions.
