Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli reported a 20 percent rise in first-half core earnings, boosted by new outlets and rising royalties, it said on Thursday.
The group, headed by the Florentine designer whose collections feature animal prints and leather-fringed jeans, said it made earnings before interest, tax depreciation and amortisation of 8.7 million euros ($11.5 million).

According to the British Retail Consortium, the prices of British clothing continued to fall in August, with retailers discounting new stock as it comes in.
Womenswear, menswear and childrenswear all saw prices deflate 9.3 percent, with the price falls decelerating from July’s rate of 9.7 percent.
Footwear reported a slight acceleration in its deflation rate.
