India’s cotton yarn exports to China quadrupled in the first nine months of the current calendar year due to the country’s emphasis on value added products in order to reduce cost of garment manufacturing.
Data compiled by the Ministry of Textiles showed that overall cotton yarn exports jumped to 222,052 tonnes between January – September 2012 as compared to 77,688 tonnes in the same period last year.

Exports of pashmina, readymade garments (RMG) and woolen carpet combined dropped by around 29 percent over the first two months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period in the last fiscal.

VISION magazine co-hosted the event which launched this groundbreaking exhibition presenting a new look at wool, one of the oldest natural fibers known to man. Guests included Chinese artists Mo Jiao, Xander Zhou and PINWU.
